Elder & Sister Brown to the Romania/Moldova Mission

The Browns were surprised to learn a couple weeks ago that Pres. Hettinger, the Stake President that set us apart for our two missions will be the new Mission President for the Romania/Moldova Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He and his wife Barbara will start their service next July.  The Phoenix Arizona North Stake "of Zion" will be wonderfully represented by their service.  We'll be released before they get here however.

Snow and more snow since we wrote last.  One day we cleaned our drive and walk ways four times and our proprietary an additional two times so that when it finally quit snowing we wouldn't have ice to contend with where we walk and drive.  Ice was everywhere else present as the temp dipped down to -17 degrees fahrenheit.  Thanks for your prayers.  The sun loving missionaries from Arizona are surviving.  In fact, when the sun shines here in Romania it is a sure sign it will be colder.  We do not know how that works but it is true for Sibiu.  We've almost (but not quite) been happier when it is cloudy.  No snow is predicted for the next 10 days.  The beautiful heaps of fluffy white stuff have been replaced with splattered mud.  Winter endurance is upon us.  One friend said she wished she could hibernate like a bear.

We've been busy but after finishing the "branch history" I was tired of working on the computer.  My eyes rebelled so now as I recover we'll soon get the blog up and going again.

Our theme song for the last 15 months

I'll go where you want me to go

1. It may not be on the mountain’s height,
Or over the stormy sea;
It may not be at the battle’s front
My Lord will have need of me.
But if by a still, small voice He calls
To paths I do not know,
I’ll answer, dear Lord, with my hand in Thine,
"I’ll go where You want me to go."
Refrain:
I’ll go where You want me to go, dear Lord,
Over mountain, or plain, or sea.
I’ll say what You want me to say, dear Lord.
I’ll be what You want me to be.
2. Perhaps today there are loving words
Which Jesus would have me speak;
There may be now, in the paths of sin,
Some wand’rer whom I should seek.
O Savior, if Thou wilt be my Guide,
Tho' dark and rugged the way,
My voice shall echo the message sweet,
I’ll say what you want me to say. [Refrain]
3. There’s surely somewhere a lowly place
In earth’s harvest fields so wide
Where I may labor thro' life’s short day
For Jesus, the Crucified;
So, trusting my all to Thy tender care,
And knowing Thou lovest me,
I’ll do Thy will with a heart sincere,
I’ll be what You want me to be. [Refrain]

  1. Glad you felt inspired to complete the branch history.

    Sorry on the COLD and wet stuff called snow. I enjoyed the warmers climes of the Western Carribbean. Even TX does not have snow for now.
